BROOKFIELD HEXAGONS

Brookfield CityPoint, London

Placemaking installation · Bespoke fabrication

A modular timber installation combining seating, planting and play.

A series of hexagonal structures formed the basis of Hive, a public-space installation at Brookfield CityPoint, designed to bring new life to the outdoor environment through a combination of greenery, seating and interactive features.

Built using recycled timber and sustainably sourced wood offcuts, the structures incorporated insect-friendly planters and shaded seating areas. Integrated chess and skittles zones added a playful element, with each feature designed into the modular framework rather than added as an afterthought.

The finished installation brought together practical fabrication and multifunctional design, creating a flexible outdoor space for people to gather, relax and play.
