Aldi UK took summer sipping to a whole new level with a bold and innovative marketing campaign that blends British humour, a national obsession with the weather, and the nation’s love for rosé wine.
After conducting a survey, Aldi discovered the UK’s perfect outdoor temperature for enjoying a glass of rosé: a very specific 19.2°C - now playfully dubbed "Rosé Degrees." To bring the idea to life, Creator engineered a giant rosé-dispensing billboard that only activates when the temperature reaches exactly 19.2°C. Yes, really.
In true Aldi fashion, they added a twist - the billboard was installed in Manchester, a city better known for grey skies than rosé weather. The location choice was a playful risk, and the finished billboard (in signature pink, of course) quickly turned heads. Locals and visitors alike gathered in anticipation, hoping to catch that rare perfect rosé moment when the temperature finally hit 19.2°C.
The result? A highly shareable, sunshine-chasing stunt that had Mancunians raising a glass to one of the most unexpected wine moments of the summer.
